Open ended questions
When you come across a website that asks an open ended question like, does apidexin work? The answer to the question is almost always, "yes" -- which is logical. If the product did not work for someone out there, word of mouth alone would have killed it. However, as most of the websites state, the results experienced by some are not the same results everyone gets. There is no one magic cure that's a one sized fits all.

But does it work ...
One of the top questions that I get asked when I write about diet products is, Are there diet pills that actually work? The answer would be yes, there are some diet pills that will help you lose weight. There are however no magic cure pills that you can just pop and watch the pounds melt off without watching what you eat and/or increasing your physical activity. Diet pills can also give you a slight ego boost at the beginning by helping you to lose water weight, and for many that is an additional confidence builder that helps them stick to a larger diet plan.

Melting the fat...
Ever wonder what the word, thermogenic, means? The dead give away that it's related to heat is of course the "thermo" part -- but it means heat is created through metabolic stimulation and it's marketed in products that call themselves thermogenic fat burners. As with most diet products there is evidence that it works as well as some evidence that it doesn't work. Which basically means it may work for you as a way to lose weight and that as always you should check with your health care professional to see what they advise. There are quite a few claims out there related to these products that they create results.
Shedding poundage
It's reported that over 34% of Americans aged 20 and over are obese and over 34% of Americans aged 20 or over are overweight. This means about 70% weigh more than they should. This has created a great deal of media interest, governmental interest and a billion dollar industry to sell weight loss products, from diets, seeking the best diet pill to promoting health clubs. Bottom line, part of the problem is we've become to sedentary as a nation...

Reverse psychology...
I don't know why, perhaps it's my general nature to rebel that creates a reverse psychological reaction for me when it comes to certain themes/products. If as an example, I see or hear a commercial against smoking or for an anti-smoking product, I have the urge to light up. If I see an ad recommending I buy apidexin or some other diet pill, I reach for a bag of potato chips...Which I just did, so the bag of Ruffles is open though I did at least temporarily pass on the chip dip...

Dropping poundage
We want everything fast these days, which is why many are attracted to quick and easy weight loss solutions. It's important to understand how the extra pounds were created, you didn't just wake up one morning with an extra 20 pounds - One pound of fat is equal to about 3500 calories.
That means that if you eat an extra 350 calories of food a day beyond what your body needs, you would gain an extra pound every 10 days. If you take in more than 350 calories a day beyond what your body needs you'd gain the extra weight even faster.

Best, most effective, preferred...
Marketing and advertising are about images and words, how a product is described is meant to draw your interest and appeal to you. If you read "least effective diet pill" or "completely untested wrinkle cream" you'd probably not be at all interested. However if you read, most effective diet pill or four out of five dentists prefer (fill in name) then you'd be more inclined to give a product a look. It's up to you as a consumer to do your homework and my standard advice before taking any diet or health supplement, check with your health care professional first.

Weight loss for some, not for me...
It's kind of ironic to sit here and write about weight loss products when since our grill was still warm from our earlier dinner, my husband just grilled me a jumbo hot dog, then topped it with relish and mustard. Yes, hot dogs are not the healthiest food item, especially compared with the boneless chicken breasts and veggies from earlier but? It tasted pretty darn good. I focus on trying to be healthy, and I don't want to be obese but like my decision to not worry about dyeing my hair anymore and accept the silvery gray as...me...I don't worry about dieting anymore. However I know many of you do worry about dieting and whatever makes you happy? Works for me.
I had no idea what a irvingia gabonensis was
When I heard the term, "irvingia gabonensis" was, I had no idea what it was, it sounded like some type of a rare disease you would not want to contract. Especially when phrased as irvingia gabonensis side effects, but then I discovered that it's a tree - mainly grown in West and Central African tree and that some also call it the wild mango or bush mango. It's become one of the latest weight loss ingredients so I'm sure it will become much more known in the weeks to come. Just as many of us had never heard of hoodia, or ginko berries until they became "the" product of the moment...

A contrast in cultures...
In many parts of the world people struggle to obtain enough food for their families, even here in our nation there are those who rely on assistance programs to be able to provide two meals a day. Then we have those at the other end of the spectrum who have partaken a bit too much in the food department who focus on the best weight loss pills comparison. Obesity though is not just for the wealthy, those who are poor are also often over-weight because of cultural food sources and from a lack of education/access to healthier foods.

The X-factor
There are a great many diet products out there, so it's always recommended that you search for information and product reviews since that information can be helpful. I recommend searching for the product name and the word review. As an example searching using the term, xenadrine review is a great way to find reviews on that product. Make sure you compare the ingredients as well as the price. I also always recommend reading the fine print as to any guarantee on a product, shipping and handling is rarely refunded, so how much the handling charge is, is an important fact to know.
Many kinds of diets...
There are many types of diets out there, even some diets for quick weight loss that are designed to jump start your weight loss. While most times you lose water weight, sometimes all people are looking for is to drop just a few pounds. Certain combinations of food and exercise are recommended as opposed to just not eating. Not eating can actually make your body go into starvation mode which can backfire...

Diet Industry a 40 billion dollar one...
As some in America see their waistlines expanding, there is still an increasing number who decide they are going to do something about their weight, from weight loss pills to other diet products in 2007 it was reported that the diet industry was a 40 billion dollar one.
What's interesting is some of the myths related to this, one primary one is that if those of lower economic statuses truly did not have enough to eat weight would not be an issue. Statistically it's been proven it's not the quantity of the food eaten that causes some to be overweight, it is the quality and the type of food. What role the government should play in this has been an ongoing issue...

Happy Thanksgiving!
The one day a year the farthest thing from most people's mind is appetite suppressants as we are encouraged to enjoy the food, the company and the day. In our house the turkey has never been the thing everyone longs for, it's the stuffing and the desserts that go the fastest. That might also be since it's the one holiday a year where it's okay to have three different desserts and not feel guilty...

The hardest spot on your body to lose weight...
One of the frustrating things about diet and exercise can be that your stomach area seems to be one of the hardest places to lose weight from. Especially as you grow older, and it seems to take forever in doing crunches without seeing the results you'd like as fast as you'd like. Some turn to products to try to burn belly fat faster. Some decide surgery is the option for them whether through liposuction or tummy tucks. Then there are those of us who do what we can as far as diet and exercise with some just deciding that it's easier to buy the next larger clothes size...

So, I thought of Solo Sim...
I haven't had much time to play The Sims, which is typically how I relieve stress, so perhaps that's why when I saw Solo Slim, I thought of a lone sim. My poor lone sims stuck in my computer not able to go further in their sims careers...What's funny is with the latest Sims you can make your sims slimmer or fatter, with much more ease than we as non-computer generated simulations can pull it off.

Could we put government on a diet?
Government in many ways is similar to people, when there is fat you need to figure out how to get rid of it, and no matter how much exercise you do, it comes down to making good decisions. You can try to find the best diet pills but similar to cutting government fat, there are no quick and easy solutions. A sensible diet is also needed, you can't take in 4,000 calories a day and not exercise and expect to lose weight. The Government can't take in $4,000 and spend $8,000 without it eventually catching up to them...Perhaps part of the reason so many people have difficulty with both is because they don't want to make choices. While you can have your cake and diet too, you have to have smaller portions...not the whole cake...
