As the writer of a popular weekly newspaper column on blogging and a self-published author of a book on Ohio History, I have often thought about becoming a
freelancer. I've also thought about freelancing when it comes to advising political campaigns since many of them just need someone to do a quick fix for a public relations problem or issue as opposed to needing someone long term. For me the biggest obstacle is a time factor, not so much as doing the work but doing the promotional aspect to do the work.
